“Nike had a huge advertising success at the 2010 World Cup with “Write the Future,” the epic soccer spot that won the2011 Film Grand Prix at Cannes for Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam. … Now, Wieden + Kennedy London takes over for Amsterdam with a sequel of sorts called “My Time Is Now,” which is, in its own way, just as epic as the original.”
“Nike simply can’t do a mediocre soccer commercial. Here, it’s made another instant classic.”
What I’ve been saying for years now
New Nike Euro 2012 Ad
All of their advertisements are just ridiculously good. I would kill to help make one of their ads.
I feel like I really missed out by not going to see the Watch The Throne Tour. Two of my top 5 favorite artists of all time touring together. And maybe this is naive of me, but I don’t get the feeling that the tour was all about money like most hip hop concerts are. I think this tour in particular is two superstars showing love to their fans more than any other tour by a major artist you’ll come across.
I’ve been to 4 concerts in my life.
Kanye West at Bucknell when I was 17. He was a star in my eyes and damn close to being the world star he is now at that time.
Lupe Fiasco at SUNNY Geneseo when I was 19.
Eve 6 (it was free) at Rochester when I was 20.
Fabolous (almost free) at Rochester when I was 21.
Why do I mention this? All of those shows ranged from 45 min to an hour. Hip hop concerts aren’t very good in general. I think this tour is an exception to that. In that clip Kanye and Jay-Z do Niggas in Paris 10 fucking times for a total of 40 minutes. And it’s in Vancouver, it’s not even a special concert in their own home towns. The rest of the set list is just fucking ridiculous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watch_the_Throne_Tour). They played 1 song off their set-list of 37 hits for 40 min with the fans loving it with each go. They could easily have just done it once or twice and done the rest of the set-list and it still would have been a good concert.
Pikachunes - Nervous
Yes, there is an electronic music artist named Pikachunes. Yes, he dresses up as Pikachu and dances all around New York City. At this point, you’re probably thinking, “what a stupid gimmick.” What if I were to tell you the … that the song … is actually good …
Never heard of it till now. I just looked it up and it looks dumb.

haha. I was going to blog on this anyway, so I’m just going to make this long. I don’t hate animals. I’m just not a big fan of domesticated pets like cats and dogs. For one, I’m allergic and don’t really get along with them. I’ve never had one as a pet obviously, so maybe I just don’t get what the big deal is.
But mostly my beef is with people’s priorities. It bothers me a lot when people donate to SPCA or PETA. I personally don’t understand why anyone would ever donate to a domesticated animal charity when there are human beings in need. I would say I have more compassion for other humans than most people I know, so maybe that’s why I feel that way. But I think you should be helping your own species out first and foremost. The only time I’ll donate money towards an animal charity is for endangered animals, because biodiversity is pretty important.
The other thing I don’t get are the goals of animal rights activists, like PETA. Most animal rights people I know are the biggest animal lovers and have dogs or cats of their own. I feel like that’s such hypocrisy. If you really cared about animal rights, then you shouldn’t own pets and be against domesticating them. Let them free if you care about animal rights.
I guess I just don’t get it.

Bon Iver and I are playing games on our road trip. He begins. ‘What are your top five trees to make love beneath?’
We finally agree on a list. Bayleaved willows beside a quiet pond. Aspens, but only when the breeze is gentle and persistent, in late September when the yellow-orange seems almost not to come from nature. Lodgepole pines that sing anciently as they sway. Wild plum trees, if we can share the sweet fruits afterwards with sticky kisses. And white cedar, which has a significance that only we could ever understand.
dear God
I’m feeling very kinetic and lively today from graduation. I feel the need to write about it along with the dozens of other kids on my Facebook. First off, I’m glad I went. I didn’t want to go at all. I was forced to go. Go to your graduation, no matter how much you don’t want to. Seriously. Also, surreal doesn’t begin to describe today. I really feel electric. I’m starting to realize the best moments of my life are the ones that allow me feel truly alive and yet very nostalgic at the same time.
This is a picture with my dear friend Allison from May 2007. She was my senior prom date.

Here’s to many more wonderful years with all of my friends and family.
holy shit he is perfect with that damn Rocko’s Modern Life shirt.
If anyone gets me that sweatshirt or takes me to a Childish Gambino concert, I’ll love you for life.
uhhhhhh
Maybe, but probably not. Nothing against the movie, but I hate going to movie theaters. I’ll catch it on DVD.
And there IS this high strung 5-year-old who occasionally shouts “I’m punchin’ in the weiner today!” before sparring matches. (BTW, when he does it, that shit is a wrap. Nobody wants to fight him on a Weiner Punch day. He is the greatest karate movie villain of all time.)
